  • Deniz Kurtel will play nine live gigs across the US this month. After releasing last year's well-received Music Watching Over Me on Crosstown Rebels, which RA's Stephane Girard said "[displayed] a mastery of deep house tropes," Kurtel will release her second album The Way We Live on Wolf + Lamb this June. She'll premiere the material on her Double Exposure tour of the US, which will also feature Kurtel's newest LED installation, "The Introspectacular," a 6x12 enclosed trailer equipped with mirrors and lights that those who enter can control via MIDI controllers that also generate sound. The tour will begin in Washington, DC, hit Philadelphia, Boston, Chicago and Detroit, stop at Boulder's Communikey Festival and then finish up with a string of dates in California. Later in the spring, Kurtel will also play Montreal's MUTEK festival and a single date in Toronto.
