  • Electric Daisy Carnival CEO and founder Pasquale Rotella is to be arrested in relation to corruption allegations. The LA Times reports that the indictment follows on from the arrest of two officials from the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum—Patrick Lynch, the former general manager and Todd DeStefano, a former events manager—on Thursday morning, in addition to Reza Gerami, chief executive of the rave promotion company Go Ventures. It's thought the charges link back to the infamous 2010 Electric Daisy Carnival at the Coliseum, at which a 15-year old girl died of a suspected drug overdose. Gary Jay Kaufman, attorney for Insomniac Events, the parent company of EDC, issued the following statement: "Pasquale Rotella has always acted lawfully and appropriately with respect to all of his dealings with the Coliseum. Any allegations of wrongdoing on the part of Mr. Rotella by the District Attorney are completely baseless and flat-out wrong, both on the law and on the facts."
