- Laid will host a Detroit showcase at ://about blank tonight, headlined by Marcellus Pittman. Pittman is one of Detroit's unsung house heroes, often taking a backseat to the likes of Moodymann, Theo Parrish and Omar-S in the eyes of the wider electronic music community. Nevertheless, the producer has become renowned amongst purists around the world for his smooth analogue-based output and leftfield DJ sets, the latter of which regularly encompass classic disco and funk. Over the years he's put music to wax for a number of well-known imprints (Sound Signature, Track Mode and FXHE), and founded his own label, Unirhythm. Fellow Michigan resident and radio host Whodat, AKA Terry McQueen, will be joining Pittman on tonight's bill.
