  • Kieran Hebden today announced full details of a party in November at Brixton Academy via his Twitter. Hebden will play back-to-back with Caribou on the night, reprising a DJing relationship which saw them play together in Berlin last year. (The pair will also spin a dual session at this year's Bestival.) Joining them are a heavyweight cast of UK names, which includes James Holden (another DJing sparring partner of Caribou's), Ben UFO, Floating Points, Pangaea and Pearson Sound. Somewhat incredibly given the lineup and the venue, entry to the event—which has already sold half of its ticket allocation—will cost just £5. "The basic idea for the event was to do a big room rave that had a different attitude and vibe to most other big dance music events going on," Hebden told RA. "I saw Fugazi at Brixton in the '90s and it was £5 to get in and they played with the house lights on and it was as amazing and powerful as anything else I had seen. So I'm trying the same idea... make it more for the people, no show business and let the music do its thing." The final batch of tickets will be on sale as of 9am tomorrow (Thursday 9th May).
