D Records compiles Movement 2012 compilation

  • D Records will release a new compilation of Detroit techno called Movement 2012 in affiliation with this year's instalment of the annual Detroit festival. Originally launched by Richie Hawtin as a sub-label of Minus in 1999 and then handed over to Movement organizers Paxahau, D Records has become a showcase for local Detroit talent. It will continue to do so with this new compilation of previously unreleased tracks compiled by Ataxia member and label manager Ted Krisko. Movement 2012 is largely composed of tracks from artists who are already part of the D Records family, including Brian Kage, Joshua Harrison and Keith Kemp, but will also feature the D Records debut of Kevin Reynolds.
