  • Omar-S will play live for the very first time at a Movement afterparty in Detroit on May 26th. The Detroit producer is known for his love of vinyl, both putting out records on his own FXHE label and DJing exclusively with wax, but this year's Movement festival in Detroit will see him try something a little different. For his appearance at Beretta Music's "Ten Years Of Techno" afterparty on Movement's Saturday night (May 26th), he'll play an hour of his usual DJ set and an hour live—complete with analogue hardware, a live vocalist, and live bassist to accompany his own material. There is no word yet on whether or not Omar-S will play other live shows this year. Also playing at the afterparty at The Works are Aril Brikha, Reference (the duo of Luke Hess and Brian Kage), and Ryan Crosson plus many others. Tickets are available for purchase right now on RA, and those who buy tickets ahead of time will receive a free 2xCD compilation as well as a free shuttle ride from Hart Plaza to the venue operating from 9:30 PM to 1:30 AM.
