The two Sheffield producers have rerubbed Watch Me Dance in its entirety.
Ninja Tune are set to release a new version of Toddla T's Watch Me Dance, remixed by Sheffield producers Ross Orton and Pipes.
"DJ Pipes and Ross Orton are two of my biggest musical inspirations/heroes," says Toddla T. "This is a secret dream come true." For the uninitiated, Pipes is a Sheffield native and former staple of the city's Waxlyrical and Scuba parties. Orton is something of a jack of all trades—among other pursuits, he's drummed for Jarvis Cocker, played with Pulp's Steve Mackey in The Cavemen and has done remixes and productions for a wide variety of pop artists (he and Mackey wrote and produced M.I.A.'s 2004 album Galang). According to a press release, Toddla T specifically requested the pair when approached with the idea of a remix album.
Fully titled Watch Me Dance: Agitated by Ross Orton & Pipes, the album is due for release in August. You can see the video for "Body Dub" (their remix of "Body Good") below.
