  • UK producer Michael Dodman, AKA Huxley, is booked to play two shows in Australia at the end of this month. Dodman's journey from tech house producer to garage artist, as he explained in his recent chat with RA, has been an organic yet swift one, taking place over the course of a few short years. With his first and second releases back in 2009 dropping on Cecille and Tsuba respectively, his career has since accelerated at a rapid rate, as has his rate of output. Dodman's recent records, scattered across a range of labels that includes 20:20 Vision and Hypercolour, have helped make him a prominent figure in the current garage revival, although his style continues to develop and change. His first trip to Australia will include two gigs, the first being in Melbourne on June 29th where Smalltown will host the Englishman at The Mercat Basement. His Sydney show on the following evening will be held at One22, with the Bad Apple crew calling in Kerry Wallace, Moonchild and Ben Ashton as local supports. Tickets to both the Melbourne and Sydney shows can be picked up here on RA.
