Teengirl Fantasy announce world tour

- The New York duo will embark on European and North American dates over the summer.
- Teengirl Fantasy will head out on a tour of Europe and North America next month. The New York duo of Logan Takahasi and Nicholas Weiss first appeared in 2009 with a series of releases culminating in their debut album 7AM on Merok Records, which showcased a hazy and atmospheric take on house music. Since then the pair have put out a 12-inch on Barcelona's Hivern Discs, and finished their follow-up album Tracer, which is due out on R&S Records in August. This summer Teengirl Fantasy will play a series of festival dates mixed in with smaller scale shows, starting with Barcelona's Razzmatazz on July 6th where they'll play alongside American group Lemonade. In addition to other stops in July in Dublin (The Workmans Club), Amsterdam (Paradiso), Berlin (Naherholung Sternchen), and London (Corsica Studios), they'll play Belgium's Dour Festival, Serbia's Exit Festival, and Scotland's T In The Park. Later on in August, just before Tracer is released, the duo will do a quick five-date tour of the American and Canadian West Coast. Beginning on August 10th, they'll hit San Francisco's DNA Lounge before heading to Los Angeles' Los Globos and San Diego's Casbah on the two following evenings. After a four-day break they'll head to Vancouver on the 17th to play the Waldorf Hotel, and then wrap things up in Portland the next night at Mississippi Studios. For the entire duration of the tour they'll be supported by Chicago duo (and Hippos in Tanks signees) Gatekeeper, as well as visual artists Thunder Horse.
