- The English dub veteran's next solo album is due out in August.
Adrian Sherwood will release his next solo album, Survival & Resistance, this August on his own label, On-U Sound.
Sherwood released his first solo album in 2003, but his CV reaches back much further than that. In the '80s he was the driving force behind numerous dub and reggae projects, including the collective Singers & Players and Lee "Scratch" Perry's album Time Boom X De Devil Dead, which he produced. He has a long history with industrial music as well, having worked with everyone from Einstürzende Neubauten to Nine Inch Nails. There were plenty of high profile remixes as well, for the likes of Depeche Mode, Primal Scream and Sinead O'Conner.
All of these influences echo in Sherwood's solo work, and Survival & Resistance is no exception. The new LP is dark, dub-inflected and led by Sherwood's own vocals.
