The two artists will headline a "Philly Special" for The Lift in LA.
The Lift will put on a "Philly Special" in Los Angeles on July 21st.
The LA promoter has been booking forward-thinking house and techno names for years now in both LA and San Francisco, and their latest event will be a Philadelphia-themed affair, featuring the double-header bill of King Britt and Rich Medina. Britt is a bouse veteran with releases that date back to '90s (under a variety of aliases), and work that incorporates influences from hip-hop and jazz among other things. Most recently he appeared on Kode9's Hyperdub label as the Fhloston Paradigm, an outlet for his less dance-oriented synth experiments. Medina, meanwhile, is a renowned downtempo and hip-hop DJ, and has performed with artists like Lauryn Hill and Erykah Badu through his career.
Both headliners will DJ, backed up by Lift residents Jeremy Sole and Wiseacre. There are no advance tickets available for the event, and the location is currently TBA.
