  • Art of Dark will celebrate their first birthday party this month at London Pleasure Gardens. The choice of venue shows how much Art of Dark has grown in the past 12 months. Founded by Colin Chiddle and Jack & I member Dan Perrin, it began as a members-only party in an east London basement, and has since put on events at Village Underground, Hackney Downs Studios and room 3 of fabric during WetYourSelf. The upcoming party is by far their biggest yet. Kate Simko will headline with a live set—her first London performance as a permanent resident of the city. Joining her on the bill are Hector and Robsoul Recordings boss Phil Weeks. Jack & I, Chiddle and the Art of Dark residents round off the lineup. The party starts at 2:00 PM and runs until 6:00 AM the next morning. Tickets to Art of Dark's first birthday are available here on RA.
