- The Finnish producer will release his first LP in September.
Albert Swarm will release Wake on September 4th.
The Helsinki-based producer, born Pietu Arvola, debuted last year with his Held EP on NYC-based Ceremony Recordings, which we said was "in-between music that's pretty and ornamental." Arvola's sound leaned more towards ambient on that release, but debut album Wake sees his sound turning darker, which a press release calls a "momentous shift towards dark, meditative techno." The tracks on Wake are indeed driven more by their percussive elements, with more emphasis on sub frequencies than Held. All seven tracks on Wake are previously unreleased, and first single (and album closer) "Moths & Moth Catchers" is currently streaming on SoundCloud.
