  • Mark Fell will release a remix album entitled Sentielle Objectif Actualité through Editions Mego this September. The package centres on remixes of the three 12-inch singles so far (3.333... should drop shortly) on Sensate Focus, the Editions Mego sub-label set-up at the start of 2012 to house off-kilter house explorations from the Snd member. While traditional genre tropes were fully utilized on the recordings, Fell tampered heavily with house's rhythmic structure to evoke "slightly unusual beats," sounded out by Roland drum machines and the like. The press release accompanying Sentielle Objectif Actualité offers minute detail concerning the production of the record, outlining its exact time of creation (June 2012) along with each and every instrument, sample and piece of kit that were used. Also included is a thorough breakdown of tempo information for DJs—"Track 1 has a tempo of 137 beats per minute with a rhythmic loop of 30 units each lasting 109.49 milliseconds" for example. The album will be released on 2xLP and CD, and was mastered and cut at Berlin's Dubplates and Mastering. Tracklist 01. SOA-1 02. SOA-2 03. SOA-3 04. SOA-4 05. SOA-5 06. SOA-6 07. SOA-7 Editions Mego will release Sentielle Objectif Actualité on September 11th, 2011.
