  • Eamon Harkin and Justin Carter will host the 99th and 100th editions of their popular Mister Saturday Night series next week. It's been a busy year for Harkin and Carter. The Mister Saturday Night events continue to take place regularly at House Of Yes (with guests like Caribou and Pearson Sound on hand recently), while the daytime counterpart Mister Sunday takes over Gowanus Grove on select summertime afternoons. Along with the extended sets they often play at those Brooklyn events, Harkin and Carter have also had a handful of gigs in Germany and the UK, and a few months ago they launched Mister Saturday Night Records with the Mad Disrespect EP from fellow New Yorker Anthony Naples. Naples is on the bill for Mister 99 next Saturday, along with Detroit DJ Jay Daniel, Harkin and Carter. Arrive early: free beer will be on tap for the party's first hour. The following afternoon, Mister 100 will take the form of Mister Sunday at Gowanus Grove. Posters commemorating the 100-show milestone and new screen-printed shirts will be available for sale, and the day's music program will see Harkin and Carter share the decks for an extended session, and some "surprises" are in the works as well. RSVP via email to mister AT mistersaturdaynight.com, and you'll get in free during the party's first couple hours; otherwise, entry is $10 and you can get advance tickets to both events here on RA.
