The Vancouver festival has announced a comprehensive update to its lineup in September.
Vancouver's New Forms Festival has announce its second wave of names for its 2012 iteration.
At the top of the list lies Danny Wolfers under his Legowelt alias, known for his prolific output of analogue-heavy house, techno and electro. Also appearing is Detroit electro veteran Sherard Ingram, AKA DJ Stingray, a Drexciya-associated producer and DJ who also makes music under the name Urban Tribe and has released on everything from [NakedLunch] to Mahogani. Other names added to the lineup include French DJ and Club Cheval member Canblaster, ex-Vex'd member Kuedo, Raster-Noton signee Kangding Ray, Toronto's Kevin McPhee and Brainfeeder hip-hop producer Teebs.
The festival this year will take place over the weekend at 577 Great Northern Way, a disused tech college campus which will be transformed into a multimedia centre with performances and art installations. The Sunday afternoon events will take place at Northeast Vancouver's New Brighton Park, and Saturday afternoon will also see professional music lectures at the Waldorf Hotel by those involved with the festival and its booked artists.
