Goblin, Eskmo and Pillow Talk are among the artists named for the festival in November.
Melbourne Music Week has revealed the first round of artists confirmed for the citywide event this November, with Italian cult soundtrack legends Goblin topping the list.
The nine-day festival takes place across a wide range of conventional and unconventional venues, gathering an eclectic mix of artists from around the world while also showcasing local talent. Live performances are only part of the program, with film screenings, workshops and industry-related events also running throughout. Other acts announced this week are San Francisco trio Pillow Talk, recent Ninja Tune signee Eskmo, New York duo Teengirl Fantasy (whose forthcoming album on R&S is due this month) and Parisian band Housse de Racket.
Another announcement is due on September 19th, with the full program and event details being released on October 3rd. This year's festival runs from November 16 to 24.
