  • Eric Cloutier will make his Australian debut with parties in Melbourne and Sydney this month. A Michigan native, Cloutier began DJing and promoting in Detroit back in 1996, gradually building his name until making a permanent move to New York ten years later. He quickly picked up a residency at the city's famous Bunker party, which over the past decade or so has earned him an international reputation. He also promotes his own night, Down, at which he often plays lengthy sets that course through deep house and dub techno. Cloutier's first appearance on Australian shores will be at Melbourne's Mercat Basement on September 21st. The Silo crew will be hosting the show, with David Mummery booked as the only support act. The following weekend, on September 28th, 4our will be taking over One22 in Sydney, where Cloutier will be playing a four-hour set. Residents Trinity and Magda Bytnerowicz are also on the bill. Tickets to the Sydney show can be purchased here on RA.
