Fritz Kalkbrenner's next album on Suol, Sick Travellin', will be released next month.
The new album comes almost exactly two years after Here Today Gone Tomorrow, the first LP for both Kalkbrenner and Suol. He's been a fixture on the label ever since. Sick Travellin' sees him continuing to balance laidback yet club-ready house with pop songwriting. It was produced in the new Suol-Studios in Berlin, and according to the press release, shows off a "more organic, mature sound" with more live instrumentation and more of the artist's own vocals. It will be available on CD and digital formats, with the first single, "Get A Life," due out on vinyl this month. Kalkbrenner will also hit the road with a new live show. Details for the album tour are still being confirmed.
