It's now long after the opening of Sublime back in 1996 at the origional venue on Sydney's Pitt St that the name started spreading across town.

Since then the Sublime name has come along way. Its huge venue move to Sydney's superclub 'Home' a few years ago, which also featured to the combination of all three of its strong nights: Thursday - BeatFix, Friday - Voodoo and Saturday - Cargo, and from the word go it's 2,500 capacity sold out every week for a long period.

Anyway... it's that time of year again (mid-year?) that Sublime celebrates its birthday, this year turning 6! Friday July 19 will see the residents on the decks for another huge event and the rooms will look like so:

Voodoo: Nik Fish (fresh from his gig at the Love Parade), Peewee Ferris and Jumping Jack.
Beat-Fix Breaks: Kid Kenobi, Q45 and Emme.
Beat-Fix DnB: Matt and Kayla, Ritual, Vader, MCs Antic and Mnuva.
Cargo: Kate Monroe and Craig Obey.
SubBar: Ben Korbel and Trent Anthony.

The entry is $35 on the door with a members price of $20.

Fri, 28 Jun 2002I agree with Incrediblefunk, I honestly can't think of anywhere worse than Sublime. It has nothing to do with the DJ's. They are all very good in there own right. They wouldn't play at the biggest club in Sydney otherwise. The reason why i wouldn't be caught dead there is the crowd!! If it's not glowsitcks and kids off their chops, it's thirty year olds who fancy something different to their usual Castle Hill Tavern. And for all who went to Sublime at Pitt Street. I hope you all... More
