- The hardware-emulating compressor and EQs are the latest from NI and their collaborators at Softube.
Native Instruments is rolling out the Premium Tube Series, a collection of plugins meant to capture the warmth of tube-driven analog studio gear.
The package comes with three effects. The Passive EQ is a two-channel, four-band equalizer suitable for single-track processing all the way up to mastering applications. The Vari Comp, a compressor/limiter, features automatic ratio and knee adjustment that tweaks settings based on input. The Enhanced EQ, aimed at warming up the low-end on individual tracks, rounds out the package.
The Premium Tube Series is NI's second plugin bundle designed with the help of the emulation experts at Softube, the team of "Swedish rock 'n' roll scientists" who worked on the Vintage Compressor series.
