Acid Pauli has mixed the next edition of Crosstown Rebels' Get Lost series, due for release in November.

Born Martin Gretschmann, Acid Pauli is a German artist with a long and varied career in music—before his days as a DJ and solo producer, he played in bands like The Notwist and 13 & God, and even contributed an instrumental track to Björk's 2001 album Vespertine ("Heirloom," originally called "Crabcraft" when Gretschmann released it as Console). He's been making music as Acid Pauli for the better part of a decade, but really came into his own in the past two years or so, landing a residency at KaterHolzig in Berlin and releasing mst, his first album as Acid Pauli, on Nico Jaar's Clown & Sunset label.

Gretschmann's off-kilter flair is on full display in Get Lost V. The mix clocks in at somewhere around two hours in length, and that's only half of it: a download code that comes with the CD unlocks a "second act," adding another two hours to the total playing time. There are five exclusive tracks in the mix, including new songs from Jaar and Acid Pauli.

Sun, 06 Jan 2013Just echoing loads of the comments on here - amazing compilation. So many beautiful tracks. It goes all over the place too. On the initial listens some of the tracks seem to jar with others as favourites emerge but after repeated listens you really appreciate the craftsmanship which went into this. Top stuff.

And who the hell is Nu! Everything he's produced has been gold (also check out his track on the Bar 25 comp). Somebody lock him in a room now until he emerges with a long player....

Sun, 30 Dec 2012I bought the actual compilation (CD Version). A card comes inside the release. You have to log onto a website which will take you to a link that is over 1.5 Gigs of music. It is actually a 2 hour and something minutes. Hope this helps~
