  • Traktor Kontrol Z2, "the world's first 2+2 DJ control mixer," has been announced. 2+2? That's how Native Instruments are describing the number of channels on the Z2, which takes in two standard channels and two "remix channels" for re-edits and the like. Above the two main channels are three-band EQs and a filter, while new Traktor software features Macro FX and Flux Mode are given dedicated controls at the Z2's edges. The body of the Z2 is said to be built from "aircraft-grade" aluminium and houses a 24-bit soundcard. Existing Traktor controllers such as the F1 or X1 can be connected to the new unit via USB, as seen in the introductory video below. It's also worth noting that the package comes bundled with Traktor Scratch Pro 2.
Native Instruments will release the Z2 on November 1st, 2012 at a suggested retail price of 799 Euro.
