Melbourne's Fantastic Man will launch his new label, Fine Choice Records, later this month.
Fantastic Man, otherwise known as Mic Newman, has been a fixture of Melbourne's house music scene (which RA recently profiled) for the last decade, but his profile has been expanding beyond Australia of late with releases on labels like Kolour LTD and Let's Play House. His latest, featuring two new cuts of Fantastic Man's signature disco-tinged deep house, will mark Fine Choice's premiere. Details beyond this first release are scant, but Newman will be keeping the label vinyl-only, with limited-run 10-inches their format of choice.
