The infamous London soundsystem crew will make a rare UK appearance this November onboard the MS Stubnitz.
Spiral Tribe Sound System, the infamous London party crew whose members now throw events around Europe as SP23, will make a rare return to the UK on November 23rd in celebration of their 23rd birthday.
Spiral Tribe threw their first all-night party in London in 1990, but their run there was short-lived: unable to find a venue that could accommodate parties of their size, they moved into the countryside in 1991. In the wake of the government's crackdown on raves, which included the arrest of some of Spiral Tribe's members, the crew moved to Europe. Renaming themselves SP23, eight of the original members have been touring through Europe ever since.
For their 23rd anniversary party, SP23 will be playing on board the MS Stubnitz, the East German fishing boat-cum-travelling nightclub that recently dropped anchor in London's Dockheads. The crew, who combine traditional DJing and live electronic music performance, will helm the party without any other special guests.
Tickets to the party are available right here on RA.
