  • This November, One Little Indian will release bastards, a collection of remixed tracks from Björk's last album, Biophilia. As you may remember, Biophilia was a multimedia album designed by Björk and a team of "app developers, scientists, writers, inventors, musicians, and instrument makers" and released last year as an app for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Björk also commissioned remixes from a diverse cast of electronic artists—Matthew Herbert, Hudson Mohawke, Alva Noto et al—which came out in an eight-part series over the past few months. bastards features 13 of these remixes, hand-picked by Björk and remastered by Mandy Parnell. "I felt it important to gather together the essence of the remixes," said Björk, "so I picked a quarter of them for one cd [sic] for people who are perhaps not too sassy downloaders or don’t have the time or energy to partake in the hunter-gathering rituals of the internet... I spent some time editing together not necessarily the best ones but the ones that made the strongest whole." bastards will be available on vinyl as well as CD and via digital download. You can hear Death Grips' take on "Sacrifice" right here. Tracklist 01. Crystalline (Omar Souleyman Remix) 02. Virus (Hudson Mohawke “Peaches and Guacamol” Rework) 03.
