UR1 Festival will take place in Miami on December 8th and 9th.
UR1 is a new festival taking place at Bayfront Park, the same venue as this year's Ultra Music Festival. It emphasizes visual art almost as much as music: there's a "360 degree art experience" with more than ten artists showcased, as well as an exhibit dedicated to music videos called "The Art of 05:00 Mins."
The lineup features over 100 artists spread over six stages, including DJs and electronic live acts along with rappers and rock bands. Amongst some of the festival's "custom-built arenas," Cocoon Heroes will have a stage, with founder Sven Väth, Detroit veterans Carl Craig and Stacey Pullen, Israeli producer Guy Gerber and more. Ibiza's Circoloco crew will be in the house as well, with Seth Troxler, Crosstown Rebels boss Damian Lazarus, Panorama Bar resident Cassy and core artists like Matthias Tanzmann. The non-dance portion of the lineup includes artists like Kanye West, Lou Reed, The Offspring, Santigold and Keane.
