  • Golden Plains have announced their 2013 lineup, which includes Moodymann and Julio Bashmore. The three-day festival is gearing up for its seventh edition at its usual home, the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre in Victoria. The sister festival to Meredith Music Festival, Golden Plains also features an eclectic mix of artists ranging from electronic to indie to soul. This year's event will feature Detroit house luminary Kenny Dixon Jr., AKA Moodymann, returning after a rare visit in April of this year. Bashmore will be making his way over from Bristol to spin his popular brand of bass-heavy house music, while American producer and multi-instrumentalist Toro Y Moi will be performing his broad style of dreamy indie-pop on the back of his forthcoming album. The iconic George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic will be making an appearance more than 50 years after Clinton first formed the group. By contrast, Sydney newcomer Flume, whose debut LP is due out in November, will play live. Other acts include Purity Ring, Keb Darge and tongue-in-cheek Melbourne duo Client Liason. Golden Plains runs from the March 9th to 11th. Enter the ticket ballot through the Golden Plains website.
