  • Steve Rachmad will play shows in Melbourne and Sydney this weekend. A pioneer of techno in his home country, the Netherlands, Rachmad has been pushing the sound since he began releasing records in the mid-'90s. A remastered and remixed edition of his 1995 album, Secret Life of Machines was released in June of this year on 100% Pure to high praise, with Rachmad revisiting his seminal debut with a number of bonus revisions, alternate versions and outtakes. Currently still touring to promote the release, the Dutch producer will appear at two shows this weekend, starting in Melbourne on October 26th. Brown Alley will be hosting the Melbourne Techno Collective's tenth birthday celebrations with an extensive lineup that also includes Matt Radovich, Sam McEwin and Louis McCoy. The following evening, Rachmad heads to Sydney for a collaborative effort between Shrug and Disconnected down at One22. Support will be in the form of Defined By Rhythm, Dave Stuart and Ben Dunlop from 10:00 PM. Tickets to the Sydney show are available here on RA.
