  • Back To Basics will turn 21 next month with a birthday celebration in two parts. The Leeds house music institution, which hosts monthly bashes at the Warehouse and bi-weekly parties at the smaller Garage, will take over both venues on separate Saturdays. On November 3rd at the Warehouse, they'll host a DJ set from Basement Jaxx (who played the party way back on their first tour) with the party's residents rounding out the bill. For their November 24th party at the Garage, they'll have Chicago mainstay Chez Damier, Crosstown Rebels and Visionquest affiliate Laura Jones, Classic co-founder Luke Solomon and veteran house music producer Maurice Fulton playing along with the residents. For both nights, Back to Basics suggest a dress code of "elegant attire" in keeping with the documentary they're filming about the history of the club night called Tales of Glamour & Excess, which is set for a January 2013 premiere. Tickets for the November 24th half of their birthday celebration are available right here on RA.
