This weekend's edition of Not Equal also features Veronica Vasicka, DJ Hell, Svreca, Lucy and Grischa Lichtenberger.
Chris & Cosey will play live at Berghain this Friday for the next edition of Not Equal.
Though their fame has always remained firmly underground, Chris Carter and Cosey Fanni Tutti are arguably some of the most influential electronic artists out there. They made a name for themselves as part of Throbbing Gristle, a group invariably credited as key pioneers of industrial music. When Throbbing Gristle broke up in the early '80s, Carter and Tutti set off as a duo, alternately appearing as Chris & Cosey, Carter Tutti and CTI.
The night will begin at 9:00 PM with a concert by Chris & Cosey (you'll need a ticket for that part of the event, which will include entry to the rest of the night's program as well). The club party starts at midnight, and will feature live performances from Lucy, Svreca, Brighter Death Now and Raster-Noton artist Grischa Lichtenberger. Minimal Wave label head Veronica Vasicka will DJ (likely striking a similar chord to Chris & Cosey). DJ Hell and resident DJ Opium Hum round off the bill.
It being the first Friday of the month, Get Perlonized! will of course be taking place upstairs in Panorama Bar, this time with Sonja Moonear, Audio Werner and residents Zip and Sammy Dee.
