  • With much of the East Coast still recovering from Hurricane Sandy, Sonar's event at Roseland Ballroom in New York has been cancelled. Like the rest of Sonar's North American tour, Friday's concert was to feature Seth Troxler, Paul Kalkbrenner, Nic Fanciulli and Tiga, among others. But a press release from the festival confirmed the cancellation, citing "the impact of hurricane Sandy in NYC, both in the life of the city and at the venue itself." No official word yet if there will be a rescheduled local date. There will be no changes for the rest of the tour. An update on some other local Friday-night events in NYC: Blkmarket Membership's secretly-located event with John Digweed is still a go, and Verboten has moved its party with Maya Jane Coles to SRB Brooklyn. And Cielo's Facebook page has this note: "Just waiting for the power to come back on. Should be soon." That presumably means Session Victim is still set to make their North American debut.
