Blue Hawaii will release their first album, Untogether, on March 4th.

The Canadian duo, made up of mysterious characters "Agor" and "Raph," have been recording together for a few years. They released an eight-track EP in 2010 on small Montreal label Arbutus, which also put out Grimes' well-received Visions album earlier this year, and the same imprint will be responsible for their full-length as well.

Untogether is named for the duo's recording process—the album was written separately and then recorded over the course of the year across Canada. It sees the dreamy duo tightening and polishing their sound, heading into more pop-friendly territory. Ra also moonlights in Canadian band Braids, while Agor reportedly spent time in Europe, immersing himself in dance music and electronic production. To get a taster for what they sound like now, the dual header "In Two" suite is available for download over at Gorilla vs Bear.

Tracklist
01. Follow
02. Try To Be
03. In Two
04. In Two II
05. Sweet Tooth
06. Sierra Lift
07. Yours to Keep
08. Daisy
09. Flammarion
10. Reaction II
11. The Other Day

Arbutus will release Untogether on March 4th.

Thu, 21 Mar 2013lol 'be warned'! What should we be warned about? Either you like an album or not, not really necessary to warn people.

For me, this is the best thing I've heard in a while. I'd agree there are elements of dub techno as well as dubstep and minimal techno. It all works very well.

Tue, 19 Mar 2013This is a great album, more like dub techno with moments of pop and electronica.

Mon, 18 Mar 2013thread-fight aside, this album was not very good, and certainly nowhere near a 4.5/5. just my opinion, give it a listen yourself, but be warned.

Sun, 17 Mar 2013One of the best to come out this year so far. Plays in the same league as Tune-Yards, Beach House and even Animal Collective.
