Sonar has announced details for its Sao Paulo edition, scheduled to touch down next May.
The Spanish festival today revealed details for its second Brazilian iteration, as it continues to expand worldwide as part of its 20th anniversary celebration. This year, taking place in Anhembi Parque, the Sao Paolo festival will feature an audiovisual set from synth pop group Pet Shop Boys, plus appearances from hip-hop band The Roots, post-rockers Explosions in the Sky and Berlin Calling star Paul Kalkbrenner. Also billed are Theo Parrish, singer and producer Jamie Lidell and experimental group Matmos, with more performers to be revealed in the lead-up to the festival.
Sonar also announced further details for its Reykjavik edition, set to take place on February 15th and 16th next year. The new additions include Italian duo Tale Of Us, Danish producer Kasper Bjorke and American group Thugfucker, plus a number of local Icelandic artists. Those names join the already announced headliners James Blake, Squarepusher and others in the Icelandic capital's Harpa Concert House.
