The team behind Concrete has booked Marcel Dettmann, Nina Kraviz, Zip, DJ Deep, DVS1 and many more for the three-day event in May.
Surprize, the events agency behind Paris's acclaimed Concrete parties, have revealed details for the first Weather Festival, taking place over three days in May.
Though Concrete are by far their best known events, Surprize have also put on occasional warehouse parties in and around Paris under the name Weather. The first Weather Festival will combine elements of both series. Its main event will happen in a warehouse somewhere in Montreuil (just outside Paris) on Saturday, May 18th, then carry on through Sunday at the docked boat where Concrete takes place. There will also be two or three club parties in Paris leading up to the main event that Friday.
The bill so far reflects the same programming style that's made Concrete a hit, bringing in many different shades of techno and house. Highlights include Marcel Dettmann, Nina Kraviz, Chris Liebing, DVS1, Tama Sumo, Blawan and Ben UFO. All three core a:rpia:r members—Raresh, Rhadoo and Petre Inspirescu—are confirmed, along with Sonja Moonear, Zip, Margaret Dygas and Binh from Club der Visionaere. Live performances will come from Robert Hood, Paul Ritch and Makam. Naturally, a grip of French artists are booked as well, including DJ Deep, D'Julz and Cabanne, who will DJ and his own and play live with Ark as Copacabannark. More artists will be confirmed in the weeks ahead.
