- Planet Mu founder Mike Paradinas and Lara Rix-Martin will release their debut album in March.
Mike Paradinas' Heterotic project will release its first LP on March 25th.
The latest endeavour for the Planet Mu founder is a collaboration with his wife Lara Rix-Martin. Heterotic first emerged in 2011 with remixes of Kuedo and NastyNasty, but Love & Devotion will mark the duo's first batch of original material. In contrast to Paradinas' history of highly experimental and occasionally hectic IDM under the µ-Ziq moniker, Heterotic has a much calmer sound, influenced by eighties pop acts. Four of the tracks feature vocals from folk musician Gravenhurst, whose lyrics reportedly "describe a world that is profoundly haunted by the past."
