The Toronto event wil take place on Echo Beach in February.
The first Brrrrr! Winter Music Festival will take place in Toronto on February 1st and 2nd.
Much like Montreal's Igloofest, Brrrrr! is a rare outdoor event during Toronto's notoriously harsh winter season, encouraging revelers to "take back the winter." It's happening at Ontario Place in Echo Beach, with two stages and several VIP and bottle service areas, some of which will be heated. The two-day party is a collaboration by local promoters Embrace, Destiny, Balance and Footwork along with Live Nation and Uniq Lifestyle Entertainment.
The lineup leans heavily on techno and house, with a mixture of mainstream names and acclaimed underground artists. Electronic music legend Moby headlines with a DJ set, alongside German producer Moguai. Dubfire and Justin Martin are also billed, plus Magda of Items & Things, Crosstown Rebels' Deniz Kurtel, Osunlade and Miss Kittin. Toronto's local scene will be well-represented, with genre-hopping duo Jokers of the Scene, No. 19 Music head Nitin and the winner of a still-ongoing "Student DJ" contest.
