  • UK site Boiler Room will host their debut Australian broadcast parties this January. Since launching as a Ustream channel in 2010, the Boiler Room has hosted countless parties in London, Berlin and the USA, inviting electronic artists to play in intimate settings to exclusively invited crowds. Each show is broadcast live on the website and guest mixes are archived as both audio and video to form a formidable back catalogue. Now hosting their first Australian gigs, the Boiler Room team will present events on five dates starting in Perth on January 12th featuring sets from D.Y.P, Cosmo Gets and Savoir. There will be a second show in Perth on January 13th, although the venue and lineup is yet to be announced. Sydney get their turn on the 17th at Goodgod Small Club, where local acts Tuff Sherm (Dro Carey's new moniker), Cliques and Prize will be joined by Melbourne-based producer Michael Ozone and a number of other artists yet to be announced. Two broadcast dates have been set for Melbourne, the first from Sugar Mountain Festival at The Forum Theatre on the 19th, and the second from The Bottom End on the 27th. Both will feature an extensive list of homegrown artists including Cut Copy DJs, Tornado Wallace, Roland Tings, Andras Fox and Bamboo Musik.
