  • Djrum has announced details of his debut album, Seven Lies, due out in April through 2nd Drop Records. Real name Felix Manuel, Djrum arrived on 2nd Drop in 2011 with a remix of LV and Message To Bears's "Explode," which came after solo releases for On The Edge and Smokin Sessions. His first full EP for the label was Mountains, which blended elements of dub techno and dubstep, and quickly found favour with the likes of T++, Francois K and Gilles Peterson. He followed that up with 2012's Watermark 12-inch, also released through 2nd Drop. Seven Lies is Manuel's first full-length, with the label promising "widescreen atmospheres, dub chords, dusty and melancholic strings, [and] obscure film samples." It's also the first LP release on 2nd Drop, the UK label started by Mark Gurney and James Bliss in 2007. Tracklist 01. Obsession 02. Como Los Cerdos 03. DAM 04. Arcana (Do I Need You) 05. Lies feat. Shad[]wb[]x 06. Honey 07. Arcana (coda) 08. Anchors feat. Shad[]wb[]x 09. Thankyou 2nd Drop will release Djrum's Seven Lies in late April 2013.
