  • Moodymann will make his way back to Australia next month to play shows in Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney. With a production career spanning two decades, the outspoken Kenny Dixon Jr. remains one of Detroit's most iconic dance music figures, thanks to both his music and his unmistakable character. He last visited Australia during Easter 2012: since then he's released a free digital mini-LP for Scion A/V and a pair of 12-inches on his own KDJ imprint. His Australian tour will begin with a gig at Sugar in Adelaide on March 7th, followed by a set at Prince Bandroom in Melbourne on the 8th alongside locals Andee Frost and Edd Fisher. His Sydney performance will be at The Spice Cellar on March 9th, where he will be supported by Simon Caldwell, Robbie Lowe and Murat Kilic, with his final set taking place at Golden Plains at the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre in Victoria. The camping festival, which runs from March 9th to 11th, also features Julio Bashmore, Toro Y Moi and George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic. Tickets to the Melbourne and Sydney shows can be purchased here on RA.
