  • Gold Panda will embark on an extensive tour of Australia and New Zealand at the start of next month. The UK producer has progressed rapidly since making his production debut back in 2009 with "Quitter's Raga." His signing the following year to Michigan label Ghostly International was the start of a prolific period for the Essex-bred artist, with two full length releases and several EPs dropping within the space of 12 months. Although he's made a contribution to K7!'s DJ-Kicks mix series, Gold Panda remains a producer and live performer only, with his upcoming tour being in support of his most recent EP, Trust, released on Ghostly last month. The first of his eight shows will be at Sydney's Goodgod Small Club on March 1st, along with Fox & Sui and DJ Prize, followed by a set at Melbourne's Liberty Social on the 2nd with Galapagoose and Matt Radovich, and a Sunday show at Alhambra Lounge in Brisbane the next evening. From there Panda flies over to New Zealand, first to play at the San Francisco Bath House in Wellington on March 6th, then at Cassette Number Nine in Auckland on March 7th. On the 8th he heads over to Adelaide for a gig at Rocket Bar, then Perth on the 9th at Grand Lane along with fellow UK artist Maribou State. The final show will be at Trinity Bar in Canberra on March 10th.
