The full program for this year's Red Bull Music Academy in New York has been revealed.

As previously reported, the series of events will run from Sunday, April 28th, through to May 31st. During that time RBMA will put on a non-stop series of parties, exhibitions, lectures and record fairs at a number of locations across New York. Highlights of the first week include a Q&A with Erykah Badu on April 30th (she'll also DJ at a Brainfeeder party later the same evening) and a screening on rare hip-hop documentaries on April 29th, while a one-month exhibition of Brian Eno's audio-visual installation 77 Million Paintings opens on May 3rd.

The party schedule is packed too, with the likes of Masters At Work, Andy Stott, Flying Lotus, Laurel Halo, Four Tet, Skream and James Murphy among those confirmed. Giorgio Moroder will play his first ever live DJ set on Monday, May 20th, at Francois K's weekly Deep Space party, while Benji B will host a Deviation bash on May 27th, with UNO—RA's most recent label of the month—holding an event the following night. The academy will put on a closing party at new Brooklyn venue Output on Friday May 31st, with a L.I.E.S. label showcase featuring the bulk of the New York label's stable, including Willie Burns, Professor Genius and Legowelt.

Mon, 04 Mar 2013Incredible lineup with something for the different fans of the various genres of electronic music. It's a nice snapshot of what's going on in electronic music in NYC at the moment.

Although a part of me is incredibly sad that it takes Red Bull Music Academy to come up with a decent NYC-oriented electronic music 'festival' type of event.
