- The Berlin-based Brit's new label kicks off with his own four-tracker due out in April.
Ed Davenport will launch a new label called Counterchange in April.
His new label comes after a notably creative 2012, where the British Berliner—known for his solo work on labels like NRK Sound Division and collaborative tracks with Oliver Deutschmann—struck out in a heavily atmospheric direction on his Inland EP for Falkplatz. After a pair of white-label EPs stamped as Counterchange Part 1 and 2, Davenport will kick off the label with his own four-track EP called Solstice. The EP finds the producer continuing to pair techno's groove with contemplative synth-based textures. Future releases from the label will showcase Davenport and others, with an A&R policy taking in techno and house plus sounds from further out on the electronic music spectrum.
Tracklist
A1 Solstice
A2 Solstice (Lost)
B1 Monument
B2 Earthloop
Counterchange will release Solstice on April 29th, 2013.
