  • Luciano will play two gigs in South African townships this month. The mini-tour has been organised by Bridges For Music, a non-profit body that sees music as a force for development in South Africa. (Last month they brought Richie Hawtin to Cape Town and Johannesburg). As with Hawtin's visit, Luciano will lead a series of local workshops before playing a gig with support from local DJs. His trip kicks off on Tuesday, March 26th, in the Soweto township in Johannesburg. Here he'll be joined by Oskido for a free workshop where they will discuss music, technology and life. Both artists will DJ at a gig afterwords that also features Black Coffee, Kid Fonque, Thibo Thazz, Floyd Lavine and Diggin4dodge, with more names still to be announced. The Cadenza boss will then travel to Langa in Cape Town on Wednesday, March 27th. This time he'll be joined at a workshop by four-time South African DMC champ Ready D, before playing a show with support from Vinny da Vincy, Diloxclusiv and DJ Fosta. Attendance to all workshops is free—for more information on how to enrol head over to the Bridges For Music Facebook page.
