  • R&S Records have announced details of an EP from new signing Paula Temple. Due out in May, the Colonized EP contains three tracks of heavy, industrial techno, with two remixes from Perc. Temple, who also produces as Fragile X and Jaguar Woman, will be the first female producer to release on R&S in its near 30-year history. She only has a couple of releases to her name, including her 2002 debut EP, Speck Of The Future, which drew praise from the likes of John Peel, Dave Clarke and Jeff Mills, who included it on his Exhibitionist DVD. In 2012 Temple returned from an extended break from music with Anti-Orgasm, a collaboration with Swiss musician Stefanie B, and also launched her own label, Noise Manifesto. The producer, who describes herself as a "noisician," says inspiration for the 12-inch came from "imagining what it would sound like to resist the control systems we encounter every day, to refuse standardisation and covert forms of colonization." Tracklist 01. Colonized 02. Colonized (Perc Metal mix) 03. Cloned 04. Colonized (Perc Bubble mix) 05. Decolonization R&S will release Colonized by Paula Temple on May 13th, 2013.
