- The Chicago footwork producer will release his first album through Planet Mu in May.
RP Boo will release his debut album, Legacy, on May 13th.
Kavain Space is one of the many Chicago footwork producers whose work has been showcased on Planet Mu's Bangs & Works compilation series, but Legacy is his first solo release for the esteemed UK imprint. It's also his first ever full-length, after more than 15 years of producing. Space is a contemporary of revered producers DJ Deeon and DJ Slugo in the House-O-Matics crew, and has a back catalogue that includes innovative tracks like "Baby Come On" and "The Godzilla Track." He is generally considered a key progenitor of the footwork genre, and his debut LP sticks to that sound—uptempo rhythms chock full of chopped samples and looped vocals.
