  • Footwork will mark its eighth anniversary on May 10th and 11th. Over its history, Footwork has found its own unique place in the Toronto clubbing scene. It's both a regular night club and an alcohol-free afterhours, allowing its parties to go until 5 AM, much later than many of its counterparts. The club is home to regular nights like The Modern Love Affair, but they've always a strong focus on the local club scene as well. Up until recently, Friday nights were devoted solely to showcasing Toronto talent. Booking has largely centered around techno and house. Footwork will celebrate with two parties on its anniversary weekend. The first, landing on May 10th, will feature Drumcode star Nicole Moudaber, whose debut LP Believe will have just been released. She'll be supported by Toronto scene veteran Addy. The star attraction for the next evening is anonymous Berlin resident Claptone, a deep house producer who releases primarily on German imprint Exploited. This will be his debut appearance in Canada. Support will come from locals Rafwat & Chorniy, Jeff Button and Baby Joel. Tickets for the Claptone party are available on RA.
