- The latest in the company's Scarlett line features varying allotments of I/O and will hit stores next month.
Focusrite has announced two new additions to its Scarlett line of audio interfaces, the 18i8 and 6i6.
As the company's naming scheme implies, both of these new interfaces are a bit smaller than the flagship Scarlett 18i20. Regardless, they pack quite a lot of I/O into small packages: the 18i8 provides 18 inputs (including four of Focusrite's prized mic preamps) and eight outputs, while the 6i6 features six inputs and outputs. Both interfaces support recording at up to 24-bit/96 kHz quality, come stocked with dual headphone outputs and can connect to your Mac, PC or iOS device.
Focusrite will release the Scarlett 6i6 and 18i8 in March 2013 at a suggested retail price of £199.99 / UK£299.99.
