  • 93 Feet East is set to reopen. A raid on the London club this past December resulted in the revocation of its alcohol and entertainment licence, after police arrested nine people, including two on suspicion of drug dealing and five for possession of drugs. As we reported in December, the raid was part of Operation Condor, a widespread police focus on licensing offences, and saw a total of 175 officers descend on the Brick Lane venue. "We are delighted to announce that on 17th May 2013, Thames Magistrates' Court allowed 93 Feet East's appeal against the decision of Tower Hamlets council on 7th January 2013 to close 93 Feet East," read a statement on the club's Facebook page. "93 Feet East, which has been at the heart of Brick Lane's evening economy since the year 2000 as part of The Old Truman Brewery, is free to reopen immediately." The venue, which hosts both club nights and live music performances, has been home to parties such as the popular Sunday event Fuse.
