  • Toronto promoter Mansion will celebrate four years of operation this Friday. Since launching in 2009, Mansion has featured a wealth of local and international talent, counting well-known acts like Scuba, KiNK, Robert Hood and Addison Groove among its list of past guests. The parties—there's been more than a hundred so far—have taken place at a similarly wide range of spaces, from churches to Chinese restaurants, along with venues like Moskito, Footwork, and BLK BOX (which was home to Mansion's Foundry series back in March). This Friday's anniversary event, hosted in collaboration with fellow Toronto promoter Box Of Kittens, will take place at 99 Sudbury. Headlining honors goes to Âme, the German house duo who will be represented by a live set from Frank Wiedemann. Box Of Kittens' Hali (a Toronto ex-pat now based in Berlin), Mike Gibbs and Fabio Palermo round out the night's program. Then, next Saturday, Mansion will help throw a party back at BLK BOX. London experimentalist and repeat Mansion guest Actress will headline that one. Tickets to both events are available here on RA.
